A brief introduction to the manufacturing process of a plastic mold.

Injection molding is a process in which resin is heated to a molten state and then injected at high speed and pressure into a mold of the desired shape; after cooling, the mold is opened to produce the finished part. As the performance of plastic raw materials continues to improve, the trend of replacing steel and wood with plastics for components across various industries is accelerating, leading to a growing reliance on plastic molds—and, consequently, higher demands on injection molds.

Technical personnel Provide a Plastic mold Its advantage is reducing leakage of water from the mold frame into the core through the cooling channels. This Plastic mold It is achieved through the following technical solution: a plastic mold comprising a movable mold and a fixed mold. On the side of the movable mold facing the fixed mold, there are sequentially a lower fixing plate and a lower mold frame; within the lower mold frame is embedded a lower mold core. On the side of the fixed mold facing the movable mold, there are sequentially an upper fixing plate and an upper mold frame; within the upper mold frame is embedded an upper mold core. In the upper mold base, cooling water channels pass into the upper mold core and exit from it, while in the lower mold base, cooling water channels pass into the lower mold core and exit from it. Plastic mold. of the The upper die holder is provided on one side with an annular groove concentric with the cooling water passage. 1 On the opposite side of the cooling water passage, the lower mold base is inserted into the lower mold core. One end of the rubber bellows is fixed within an annular groove, while the other end extends out of the groove. A compression spring is mounted outside the annular groove, with its end farthest from the groove bottom connected to the upper end of the rubber bellows via a connecting plate. When the upper mold core is fitted into the upper mold frame and secured to it, the bottom of the second annular groove compresses the spring. Once the upper mold core is installed in the upper mold base, the second annular groove of the core accommodates both the compression spring and the rubber bellows; when the upper mold base and the upper mold frame come into contact, the rubber bellows and compression spring extending from the first annular groove are compressed into the first and second annular grooves, thereby sealing the gap between the upper mold base and the upper mold frame. The rubber bellows helps prevent leakage of cooling water from the gap between the upper mold and the upper mold base. Plastic mold. of the The compression spring is configured to ensure that the rubber bellows continuously contacts the bottom of the second annular groove, thereby reducing leakage. The rubber bellows can move in response to the compression spring’s motion, meeting the operational requirements. The structure between the lower die and the upper die holder is identical to that between the upper die and the upper die holder. The connecting plate is attached to the annular groove. 2 The end that experiences impact is fitted with a sealing gasket. The connecting plate allows the rubber bellows to move in tandem with the compression spring. At this point, the sealing gasket is positioned at the end where the connecting plate abuts the second annular groove, thereby minimizing water leakage through the gap between the connecting plate and the bottom of the second annular groove and further reducing water loss. Both the annular groove adjacent to the compression spring and the second annular groove are equipped with baffles extending along the direction of the compression spring. These baffles further restrict water outflow from the two grooves, thus decreasing leakage. Moreover, both the annular groove and the second annular groove feature an absorbent cotton layer on the groove floor within the rubber bellows. When water accumulates at the bottoms of these grooves, the absorbent cotton layers at their bases soak up the water, thereby reducing the amount that flows into the rubber bellows. On the side of the upper mold frame where the cooling‑water passage passes through the upper mold core, conical water‑blocking elements are arranged around the periphery of the cooling‑water channel; on the side where the passage traverses the lower mold core, a lower mold frame is provided, with the water‑blocking elements extending into either the upper or lower mold core. These water‑blocking elements help prevent water from flowing through the cooling‑water channels between the upper mold frame and the upper mold core, as well as from leaking into the gap between the lower mold frame and the lower mold core—thereby effectively inhibiting water ingress into the annular grooves. 1 and the annular groove 2。

In summary, The above Plastic mold The beneficial effect is that the upper mold base is provided with an annular groove on the side where the cooling water passage passes through the upper mold core. I On the side where the cooling water passage passes through the lower mold core, a lower mold base is provided, which facilitates the secure fixation of the rubber bellows and the compression spring. The compression spring is connected to the rubber bellows via a connecting plate, enabling the rubber bellows to move in tandem with the spring’s motion. Both the upper and lower mold cores are equipped with annular grooves—groove II—that correspond to annular groove I. When the upper mold core is inserted into the upper mold base, the annular groove… 2 At the bottom, a compression spring is installed. At this point, the rubber bellows also moves in tandem with the spring, sealing the gap between the upper mold base and the upper core around the cooling‑water passage and thereby reducing water leakage.
